El mundo de Hollywood y el de Broadway suelen cruzarse con facilidad. El trasvase de actores del teatro al cine y viceversa es aún más común que el que se está viviendo con la televisión actualmente. No en vano coinciden con regularidad los nominados a los premios Oscar y a los Tony, los que se entrega anualmente a lo mejor del teatro de Broadway.
Por ello vamos a echarle un vistazo a la lista de nominados a los Tony Awards 2017. Este año, a diferencia del pasado, en el que 'Hamilton' reinó en la mayoría de categorías, se espera una competición más equilibrada. La obra de Lin-Manuel Miranda recibió 16 nominaciones y ganó 11 galardones. Esta vez, títulos como 'Hello, Dolly!' (con Bette Midler), 'Dear Evan Hansen' o 'Come From Away', un musical sobre el 11S, suenan con fuerza.
La gala se celebrará en el Radio City Musical Hall de Nueva York el 11 de junio, y el encargado de presentarla será nada más y nada menos que Kevin Spacey.
