Anoche, en la premiere mundial de 'Eternals', el presidente de Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, confirmó para la revista Variety que Phastos es solamente el principio de la representación del colectivo LGTBIQ+ en las películas del UCM. Phastos, a quien da vida Brian Tyree Henry, y el personaje interpretado por Haaz Sleiman tienen una relación en la película y un hijo en común, y Feige se pronunciaba así al respecto: "Ya ha habido héroes gay en los cómics. Ya hace mucho que deberían aparecer en las películas. Esto es solamente el comienzo".
